I'm Moving On

The past - is dead and gone
I see the future - I'm moving on
I'll build my bridges - I'll burn the old
I'll find new pathways - I'll walk them bold
The sun is shining - the days are bright
I'll grasp this beauty - with all my might
The past - is dead and gone

Pieces

I glance here, he follows

I glance there, he's lost

I look upon myself, he shudders

I look away, he can't

I try to fix the pieces, he steps away in fear

I try to mend a broken heart, he hasn't the strength to care

POEM - Memories

Memories

They came one day
Their voices drawn
Said "little one
now come along -
We'll take your heart
and hide it deep -
so no more monsters

POEM - Dead

Dead

Atrophy
degeneracy
death, death, death.
My heart
empty -
hollow -
broken -
dead, dead, dead.
Touch -
so empty,
so faithless,
so through -
death of touch
death of mind
death of heart

Untitled

He is a shadow -
hidden from light
cloaked in darkness.
The first look - pure bliss -
cannot fill this void.
He is shadow -
absence of light.
He belongs
to colder places
where I cannot -
must not -
tread.

POEM - A Ghost

A Ghost

He came at dawn -
ethereal beauty and
quiet grace.
He touched my face
with hands
of glass
and I died
a million times.
His breath against
my skin -
the soft caress of
whispered words -
I cannot explain -
I lived
a thousand lives.
When he was gone
my chest was
empty -
he'd taken my heart
and left me broken.

POEM - The Mirror

The Mirror

The mirror lies, defies, denies -
ignoring all - it's in the eyes.
the face - "a stranger" my heart cries
I see nothing but alibis
I see nothing but awkward lies
